Note to self, do not attend a Slayer concert.

    Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

        White Zombie/Pantera/Megadeth

Or, no make that Chemlab/White Zombie. I remember it was Thanksgiving day at the Newport in Columbus. They totally oversold tickets and I really thought I would die if I stayed up front. I quickly exited the pit and watched from the middle the rest of the night.

I've never been to any Slayer concerts, but the pits at Gwar shows are pretty bad too.

Yes, hardcore bands have by far the sickest, biggest, meanest moshing action I have ever seen. Most of my friends play in hardcore bands and we go check out the bigger acts regularly, I always stick to the bar (if there is one) or get my ass to the side before the shows start in smaller venues.

In larger venues I'll meddle in on some of the action, like that gigantic Wall Of Death.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I saw Gwar around '90 or so. It was a blast. The security guards didn't know what to do because people we jumping on stage and the band members and their slaves were kicking them and sawing their heads off and stuff. I got covered in blood from all the chaos on stage. As I was leaving the show my friend said "Man that was great the only thing missing was seeing somebody puke!" right then the guy next to us tossed his cookies. Being two long haired guys covered in blood in a crappy car, we got a lot of strange looks on the drive home. My mom took a photo of me when I got back from the show. I found it the other day and it brought back memories. I would post it if my scanner was working.

Heh. I saw White Zombie with Gwar, and I think Chemlab opened, at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC. When White Zombie went on, I wound up all the way to the left, right in front of the stage, someone surfing through the air landed on my head/neck, and my throat was pinned down on the barricade for a minute, I thought I was gonna die!

I was up front and center when Gwar went on, got pushed back a little bit, then I got shot with all kinds of fake bodily fluids Gwar was shooting out. I was wearing a white Metallica shirt... myself and my friends looked liked we were wearing camo when the show was over... and walking back through the city to the subway got us a lot of strange looks! LOL And my contact lenses, which were slightly tinted blue, wound up turning reddish/purple for a few days!

I'm not a huge hardcore fan, but being from New England, you can't avoid getting into some of it. I went to The Palladium in Worcester (say woostah) a few years back to see 100 Demons, Walls of Jericho, Most Precious Blood, and Throwdown. There were about 20 fights in the pit before 100 demons was even done with their set. Lots of bloody people after the show, worse than when I saw Slayer. I caught a foot to the throat (yes, a foot) and got the fuck out. I fucking hate the hardcore crowd, the kung fu moshing shit. And all the guys that are into the "tough-guy" hardcore bands like Throwdown and Hatebreed. They're just there to beat the shit out of people and get away with it. Standing around the pit taking cheap shots, or the little shits who jump around the edges of the pit to punch people in the head. I stick to the sidelines now and just enjoy the music and some beers.

Exactly, I went to shows to oggle hotties, get fucked up and check out some good rock and roll. What the fuck is wrong with people today? People are so pissed off, and alot of this music just encourages this shit. I guarantee you there was no pit at the Poison/DLR show in 1988!! However, there was alot of ass and weed.

I once banged a chick in the ass in the moshpit going along with the tempo, no one could see what happened anyway, I had problems holding the noodle in the box tho.

Only Endrik would have a story of backdoor action in a Moshpit.

They would today, though. People will mosh and start a pit for any kind of music nowadays. Fucking retards!
