hey, I'd be glad for some advice again.
I'm in the following situation; my family at home is sharing one computer. I'm the only one in my family who's got an own mashine at home and in my study-apartment, and I'm the only one who's got a slight idea on how to use such a thing.
I was the first one who got a computer into our house, I infected my family, and right now they're using one of my older computers an athlon XP 1600+ with 512 RAM and whatnut...
now the problem is, that my mom needs this computer for work, my father and my bro just fool around with it and somehow manage to kill the OS every couple of months. that's what she's getting sick of.
and I'm starting to loose patience too, since I'm always the one to get things back to work.
now I have noooo idea of notebooks, since I never had one myself, and I'd just like to check you out for ideas there.
this is what our dealer of trust has got to offer right now;
http://www.akhws.de/notebook.htm
I'd tend to the cheapest one, but well, no idea about notebooks.
maybe someone has got experience with the BenQs?
it's not gonna see much multi-media stuff (my mom is not a gamer) it's not gonna be in the internet much (I hope it's gonna last longer if it's not spammed with virus-shit on a daily basis), it's just about to be a working mashine. office and that stuff.
I'm looking for something easy to use, high stability and just for the case; good customer support.
and is there maybe a solution for sharing a monitor with two PCs?
I think I'm about to get another keyboard and mouse, since I think it's more comfortable to work on, we just got a new 19"TFT, so when it's in the house (most of the time) it's just gonna work as a tower.
so what are your ideas on this?
thanks///micha
