AVI to wav mp3 program?

I have some AVI video files that i would like to have as WAV or preferably MP3 files as well.

Short of doing it manually and recording it real time, are there any cool programs anyone would care to recommend for this process. I have searched a bit and really don't see much.

I've used it to grab audio from mpeg, avi, & even youtube vids. A few glitches here & there getting the settings right, but I'm an idiot. There's a pretty good forum for help if you have problems.

I also use Super. There's a lot of settings, but once you figure it out, it'll do anything!

I have also used Adobe Audition. It will allow you access the audio portion of the file.

I DL'd it too. Looks pretty cool. I wanted it to convert CD tracks to MP3. For some reason, it wont do that for me. Anyone else tried that?
