You are contradicting yourself again, Billzy!

    Obviously you DO "buy it"

      Ron, You don't get it..

You don't get where I'm coming from do ya..

I KNOW this religion..I KNOW the book...I KNOW the God...and all his silly laws!!

      I don't buy it..ANY of it..None of it..No God..No Satan..No Adam..No Eve..No Moses ..No Jesus...No baby Jesus...No Heaven...No Hell....nuthin', zilch, nada, zip , zero!!
This>>>>> <<<<<<ALL "symbolism"..he don't exist, but I really like his character in that book..I can identify with it, he's cool!!

Man invented God and Satan ..It's a pretty cool "story"..but I gotta go with the bad boy in this silly little tale, he's a lot of laughs..I identify with that!!

      He's my Darth Vader..

I always cheered for the underdog anywhoo..

      Now Ron, Is that clear...??

          Darrrrr Dammmit..

I'm being coerced to giving those damn, sonofabitchin' donations..Oh believe me, I give 5 bucks a week..that is THE minimum going rate to be a "parishiner"..and that kills me!!!

The tuition is THE highest in the entire city..over 3K a year for a member..over 4k for a non-memeber...for grade school..

They want more..but I'm "disabled" so I have that excuse going for me..lucky me!!

It's just a game to send my kid to a nice school..I hate the fact they have me by the shorties..

There is no other choice..I can't send him to public school..not here..not with these monkeys..not an option!!

          That's the plain, harsh truth..

I know your POV Bill, but when you're starving and the government's nowhere to be found, but the Baptists and Lutherans are handing out food, ice, water and clothing, are you NOT going to be grateful for the help? You can't even imagine Mississippi in August with no power for ACs. I couldn't get to a hospital but I think I came close to death from the heat.

Now I have to say, of all the Christian denominations very visibly helping people, the wealthiest by far, the Catholic Church, did by far the least to help. It's not even rebuilding all of its churches, it's telling people in some areas to drive 20 miles to get to church. Not too cool.

              I hear ya Rich..ya know I do.

Hell, I would appreciate that too if I was in your position..ya know I would..

To me, it's just good people helping others in need..

I did that, and you know what I'm about..I am a good person..I went out of my way to help many good people...far beyond the scope of my "duties".

The only difference with me..I think...I do whatever I wish to those who are NOT good..guilt free...sin free..without loss of sleep or need for atonement.

Does that makes sense..it works for me..

Oh but we are debating the undebatable. Ones belief system is a tough cookie to discuss or change a persons views on. Bill you ask a large feat for people to give up what is ingrained in them since youth and you with your own family know that ain't no easy "McTask"
I keep the bible in a pool of blood
So that none of its lies can affect me

tax exemption is the only reason why its considered a religion....

I view it as a cult moreso than a religion....a whacked cult at that

I'm not asking anyone to change, especially if your cool. Besides, people don't chnage for the most part. They are who they are..people do what they want ..

I like to promote thought. Even if they don't wanna think..

                    Later dudes..

People change belief systems all the time. And there are people that can make that happen. Look at all the cults in the '80's, even earlier or later. All it takes is an individual that feels as if there is no meaning to life and can't cut it on their own. Whether it is a Born Again Christian in the US ; Born Again Muslim in England; Born Again follower of the Majhareesie; Branch Davidians; Scientologists or whatever. As long as there is "A" person or "A" group that preys on people that are looking for "An" answer to life they will find followers. The new sects; cults; religions or whatever will, by defintion, feel oppressed by the established religions. Scientologists just go on their merry way trying to get "clear" , whatever that means. Their agenda is somewhere else and not of this world. The ones we have to deal with in this world are the ones that have decided to terrorize the world based on distorted dogma based on traditional religions. We have them here, home grown in the US, McVey, the Klan and some real bad asses we don't even know about. Scientology is the last thing we have to worry about. Unless we get; " The Travolta Revolta" or "Cruise Missiles" skimming the Med Ocean.
