  • Dizzy!

This is getting ridiculous. I've been severely dizzy for 3 days now. I feel like I could pass out at any moment. I have a bit of a head cold, so I assume that's what is causing it. It's just very annoying, because I'm having a real hard time thinking straight. Has anyone ever had this?

You probably have preasure built up on your inner ear. That will affect your balance, which will cause the other symptoms you have mentioned.

My buddy just had the same symptoms, and he was puking from it. They diagnosed him with vertigo.

Check Rhinitus. Could be brought on by an allergy (cat, dust mite, pollen). Your sinus cavity may be infected, which would affect your dizzyiness. Alot of it going around here in the states. I had it back in Feb and it lasted 6 weeks until I was smart enough to go check it out.

I know what is wrong... your ass isn't at a doctors office. Be safe and get over to one. It could be vertigo, could be a infection, could be something simple. But, whatever it is, better to be safe then sorry.

Make sure you drink lots of water and stay hydrated(dehydration is a common cause of dizziness). If you have a head cold more than likely that is what is causing it. If you feel better and still are dizzy, go get checked out. It 's one of those things that could be caused from anything from a ear infection on up.
Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

I'll add: maybe have your blood glucose level checked.

My cousin mentioned that actually. I didn't even think about diabetes. He told me to taste my sweat to see if it was salty or not. I was sweating my ass off, so I wiped my forehead with my hand and tasted it, and it wasn't salty at all that I could tell. Apparently that's not good, but I don't have any history of diabetes in my family, so I really don't think it can be that.

if you're taking medication for the cold like decongestants or antihistimines, they can make you dizzier than hell, or maybe its just a brain tumor

Actually my prescription ran out, and instead of picking up a refill, I decided I felt a little more "up", and decided to see if I could do without them. I'm not a big believer in drugs in the first place. Well, not the prescription kind anyway. Besides, I didn't like the fact that I had to eat right after taking them. If I didn't, I would feel severely nauseous. I heard all the warnings about going off the meds without consulting a physician, but I've been off for a week now, and other than the stuffy nose and dizziness, I'm pretty good. I'm going to give it a couple more days, and if the dizzy feeling persists, I'll go to the walk-in clinic. I really hate hospitals. It's not what you think. I just hate waiting. I have been in the damn emergency room more hours than I care to remember. 5 broken arms, 1 broken ankle, 7 broken ribs, fractured eye socket, 2 broken noses, 3 broken toes, 2 broken fingers, 2 torn ligaments in my foot, 36 stitches in my chin, and 2 fingers, a few burns, etc, etc. It got to the point where the last time I fractured my wrist, I didn't even go. I had a wrist brace left over from the last time I did it, and just used that. I had to hide it from my mom, or she would have freaked out and taken me to the hospital. Silly parents eh?

It's actually kind of funny, because I was a fucking maniac as a kid, and I suppose that's why I ended up getting hurt so often. I'm totally the opposite now. I quit skiing because I'm afraid I'm gonna break my leg. :ROTF:
