I remember that closeup pic as well. Very sorry man, nothing that hasn't already been said but a pet really is a family member and not easy at all. My buddy George will be 14 soon and i'm not looking forward to it at all....

He was as much a part of the family as the next person.

I'm very sorry for your loss.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I'm sorry for your loss, man. What a beautiful dog! Yes it's heartbreaking, I've lost a few pets and they are full family members. Remember that you gave that pup a beautiful life and find comfort in that.

You have my sympathy Donovan, I had to say good-bye to my best friend yesterday and it hurts.

Nothing I can say will lessen your pain, but it will dull with time. Then you will look back at your time together and you'll smile, trust me.

My little Bograt has joined Jen, Smelly, Knacker and Chewy and they'll be patiently waiting for me the day that I cross over too. Also there will be the others yet to come, and as much as I think right now that I can't go through this again, and that there won't be any other dog to rival those previously mentioned, when the time is right, I know there will be a dog in my life. My house isn't a home without a dog.

So, think of the good times, put the beer down, and one day the pain will disappear.

                          All the best.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                          I nearly broke her back

You have my empathy.. we had to put our dog to sleep last year. I can hardly believe he's gone almost a year now, and I still miss him a lot. Hold on to the good memories you have with him.

My condolences, bro. I know all to well how you feel. Last March we put our 14 year old dachshund down, and I still feel his absence. Some days it really hurts. As the man of the house, I know I should be the "tough guy", but the reality is that it hit me harder than anyone else in my family.

There's a great group of people on the forum here, they all care, and they helped me get through my toughest days when I said goodbye to my little Gibson. We're here to help you get through yours as well.

You and your family will be in my thoughts.
