I hate waiting - hearing today

Ok folks - keep your fingers crossed. The status hearing in my case is today - I don't know what time. Not only will they be deciding whether to set a date for trial or allow more investigation time, the judge will be deciding whether to test a hair found in a bag with a mask, tape, and other items that may have been used in the attacks.

Apparently, one female hair was found in the bag with the items possibly used in the attacks. DNA testing will consume the hair. Pelo's attorney is attempting to block the testing because there is not enough for both sides to test it separately.

Pretty much - because there is no little material to test with each hair only provides enough for one test. I have heard of cases where the testing is done with a representative from both sides present. But we'll see what happens. If it matches one of the four, it would absolutely link him.

Hopefully the judge will tell the attorneys to pick a DNA testing firm that they both acknowledge. Two separate tests is redundant.

Best of luck with the hearing and my applause to you and Tekky for hanging tough during this horrible ordeal. I can't imagine the strain you both have had to endure due to this crime. You're lucky to have each other.

Here's the article from the hearing today. The prosecution withdrew the request to test the hair. And the trial date has be set for Nov. 6.

Has anybody in the prosecutor's office given you a reason for that?

I really hope this will be resolved soon!
