Has anybody in the prosecutor's office given you a reason for that?
I really hope this will be resolved soon!
I haven't actually heard from them yet. My court appointed advocate just called while I had people at my desk. So I'll have to call her back in a little bit. Although so far, I haven't been given much info on the evidence - I guess they don't want to influence my testimony.
I have a feeling that although they set the date for Nov. 6 it probably won't happen then. But I really don't want it dragging through the holidays.

To make a long story short, about 16 years ago I pulled 30 people out of a burning apartment building at 4:00 AM.I met the guy that started the fire as he was coming out the door.
I assure you from personal experience that Cook County prosecutors are vicious. He was sentanced to 18 years...

This one is currently being tried in McClean County - I was living in Bloomingon, IL at the time of the rape. As were the other 3 victims/survivors. The judge assigned to this case is Judge Dozier. I've heard he's a good guy, but don't personally know much of him. I know the detectives I've worked with are really dedicated to getting this case closed - especially with the defendant being a Bloomington police officer.
And I must say kudos for you for saving those people and putting your life on the line! It's nice to know there are people like you watching out for us!

If the primary is another police officer, you better believe they are out for blood.
As for the situation I was involved in,I did nothing that anyone else would have done.I was merely in the right place at the right time.

"Pelo, who remains in McLean County jail, is on paid administrative leave and still collecting his $81,000 annual salary."
WTF?!!!!
In order to fire him or put him on unpaid leave, they are required to have a disciplinary hearing to prove his wrong doing. That would basically force the city to provide the evidence that has been gathered and most likely force myself and the other 3 victim to testify at that hearing - turning it into basically a test run for the criminal trial. They decided it was better to put him in jail on paid admin leave than to put us all through that twice and protect them from a lawsuit should he not be found guilty. Kind of sucks though that he still gets paid more than I do while he's sitting in jail for raping 4 women.
