any photoshop gurus here???

So,.....

I have an appt at 11 oclock tomorrow to take my bands CD to the Printer. Mixed, mastered, and all the artwork is done EXCEPT one piece.

I have a PDF of the inside card for the CD

I have the template that it needs to go on

I cant get it to go on without being blurry.......

can anyone help .....???

Make sure your color mode is RGB and not indexed or greyscale.

What do you mean with "blurry" ?

For printing, one normally uses CMYK as color mode, and a resolution of 300 dpi. Also, for this kind of work, Illustrator is much better than Photoshop (imho).

Without seeing an image and knowing what application your template was created in, I can't give you any help.

For offset color printing, you want CMYK color. The resolution depends on the line screen. A good rule of thumb is to double the line screen to figure out the resolution. 133 screen = 266dpi resolution.

I'm a graphic designer and can do this stuff in my sleep. However, I need more specific questions along with the steps that you're doing in order to help you troubleshoot.

Regarding the Illustrator vs Photoshop comment, it all depends on what you're trying to achieve. Both applications can do similar things, both support vector type output.

I took it to print today. It seems the bootleg copy of Photoshop I have has some issue with the Fonts. The Printer fixed it up in about 4 minutes.....
