Black Metal?

I remember a pretty badass metal band of black guys from about 1982. No - not "in living color"! They had a video and seemed like they coulda been big. Basically they looke like Motley Cure of the era or Loudness except they weren't white or asian.

Any cool pre 1989 bands would be cool.

the only full black guy metal band I can think of is Body Count, and they were rap/metal.

Bad Brains? were all of those dudes black? I guess they're more punk or hardcore...

Rocky whateverhisname was from Suicidal was black and very metal. that dude had chops.

I like Vernon Reid also. saw LC twice back in the day.

I remember In Living Color. The Wayans brothers, right? Funny show.

Bad Brains was the first that sprung to my mind, but I wouldn't really consider them metal.

How about 24-7 Spyz?

Fishbone was another, but they were more funk than metal. They could still rock pretty hard though.

I don't know if any of these bands dressed up like chicks though
