Let us not forget Metallica not doing videos... I quit listening to them after "One" came out.
Looking back it was the right decision (me not listening to the newer stuff), but them stating they would never do a video was a pretty stupid and shortsighted thing to do. I would have taken them seriously for many more years if they hadn't done that.

Absolutes will always bite you in the ass.

Never thought of that but now that you mention it, I remember a Chev truck commercial with a badly re-recorded version of Thunderstruck.

        My wife loves this commercial..

she does..because she keeps tellin' me everytime it fuggin' comes on..

whenever it comes on..I go "Yeah, you like this" ..

        obviously she's not alone..
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
        Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

"Sharon, Sharon, do we really need more bloody money..."
That's because a doctor told Ozzy he had MS, so he really was going to retire. Then he got a second opinion and was told he was fine. Ozzy sucks now anyway, so he should really retire.

AC/DC have allowed the use of several songs, including the original versions of Thunderstruck & Back in Black, for light truck commercials here. http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/Ar...leID=4483&vf=1
