I've only got the one, for a couple of reasons. The money spent on a largish tattoo would buy me another guitar. Plus that's money I'm not putting towards shoes for the kids, etc. which makes me feel guilty. Also, I can't just walk into a tattooists and pick some hokey design off the wall. There has to be some kind of connection to the design I choose, which is why I only have the one so far. I'm still looking at ideas for my next though.

But as far as concerns for the future - I hope that by the time I'm 80, I don't give a flying ferk what anyone else thinks. That's supposed to be one of the perks of getting to that age.

I've got 8 tats, with a half-sleeve of two gargoyles from my left wrist almost up to the elbow. The only pic I've got is the one on my chest that the JCF loves.

I have 2, a tribal armband I designed and a Harley Eagle bar and shield I had drawn from 3 different pictures. I wanted something original from things that are normally considered common.

You can't see the Harley tat in this pic.

                Here's the eagle...

Some cool tat's in this thread. I'm getting a tattoo for "me" and could care less if it's in style or not. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for 8 years now and have decided it's something "I" want to do. My tattoo (grim reaper w/ a forest background) will have personal meaning. The grim reaper is to highlight my lifelong commitment to metal (I know it's kinda hokey) and the forest background represents my commitment to nature (I'm a rural sociologist specializing in natural resources). Since I'm in a "professional" field where most of the people don't have tat's I've weighed the decision heavily and that's why I decided on getting a half-sleeve. While I don't agree with labeling people, society still does these things and I'd like to be able to cover the tat up at times when it may be considered inappropriate.
