yea man, all cool....i though that was funny as hell, and E's replies made it even funnier.....although i might have felt threatened if you acted like that while standing in front of me just imagine this, 2 guys having a normal conversation, and all of a sudden one of em goes crazy

btw guys...while we're at it: name the heaviest band you know (riff wise) that has clean vocals ONLY as well as decent lead work....should be interesting

          ...

Um..Fragle I would have to say the new Eidolon at this time..that's the first one that comes to mind..

Also check in Perzonal War, and Messiahs Kiss, Nocturnal Rites "Grand Illusion"..pretty cool stuff..heavy 80's vibe.

Mercenary is kinda Nevermore-ish with a little death vox thrown in..as is Into Eternity's new one..also check out Communic and Biomechanical..oh, and Imagika!!

Rawhead Rex..stupid name but cool Jackson players..and a 80's style singer

Eidolon finally got a good singer, the dude of Pagans Mind..very heavy and tight..great solos..and a cool, true to form Merciful Fate cover of "The oath"..actually better than the original ..IMO..

My wife loves the last two Exodus cds..that's all she listens to besides Arch Enemy..she hated AE just two years ago..now she plays that all the time to the point where I'm getting sick of it..

I like the new Eidolon, it's really good. Drover is a killer player and the new singer is pretty damn good.

Nevermore, has some cleanish vocals but Warrel gets waaaaay to Geoff Tate for me, at times. I like his voice best when he's getting pissed or squeezing his balls for the high stuff.

There are some grunting vocalists out there that I do like, such as that fruit in Lamb Of God. I don't know his name, but for some reason I dig his voice. But that style of "singing" is generally not for me. Having said that, I always loved Blitz from Overkill and Cronos from Venom. So, pay no attention to my suggestions.

I'd like to get MacAlpine in a band with Jeff Scott Soto, Eric Peterson, Steve DiGiorgio and Atma Anur....that would be my kind of band.

Evergrey? Heavy keyboard usage?? Eh, maybe there's two of them?? If you want good classic metal, with good clean singing, and Evergrey doesn't do it for you, maybe you should take a look at Hilary Duff or something, cause it's hopeless, man, fekkin hopeless.

What about Symphony X?? Clean singing, and Yngwies heir to the throne...

And the dude from Evergrey has a masculine voice. No eunich transtesticle 80's horror show Geoff Tate nonsense.

Bill, we all know that you are humming, "You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, when I met you..." when you were typing.

Evergrey rules! Not with you on Symphony X though. When I see ten part songs with roman numerals in front of each part, I run screaming.

Is Trivium any good? I had seen their name a few places and decided to check them out. The one song I tried started out pretty good and I was getting into it when the cookie muppet showed up. Turned it off and didn't think anything about them until a month or so ago in Guitar World they said that they were tired of cookie vox and the next cd was going to be clean vocals. Don't know if they'll be good or not, but maybe they'll start a trend.

I'm not really into Symphony X, they just kinda sounded what he was looking for. They are talented though... no argument from me on that. Really talented.

Me, I like ugly metal, the uglier the better. My preference is most definitely Cookie Monster... make that Cookie monster with a throat infection and having recently consumed a pile of coat hangers to top it off. If I can make out even one word, the singer needs to go back and drink more Draino and correct the stituation.

                              Thread resurrection...

Fragle, if you're still here, I just discovered a 2006 speed/thrash release that sounds very old school: After All - This Violent Decline. I kinda like it.
