Reminds me of the 1972 Cutlass 442 I had about 18 years ago. Muncie 4 speed, ram air, ect. Cool car, but I sold it to build a house....Good luck Mark!

Yep, this will be interesting for sure. I guess there's no harm telling you guys here, but my max bid is 12,100. It's going to be very hard not to bid again, but I just set my max and decided to wait it out. It could be one of those deals where I get extremely pissed because someone wins it for 12,101 but it's the least stressful way I've found to bid on cars. Sometimes those last minute bidding wars make you lose your mind and pay too much for something.

Man that's a sweet ride, I love me some old Pontiacs.

              >>My '70 Lemans Sport<< -- sure glad it doesn't say GTO on it anywhere (or Chevelle for that matter)... otherwise I'd never have stolen it for $375. *grin*

Pontiac 400 (that's 6.6 litres to you euros), TH375 and 3.23 gears for those curious. I have entitled it "A Work-in-Very-Slow-Progress". I bought it in '95 and it still looks the same, but I've gotten it mechanically sound as well as redoing the entire suspension. She'll get a good "second," I'm impressed.

You did catch that he mentioned (in passing) that PHS told him it's not actually a Judge, didn't you? Not to mention the non-original motor, missing ram air parts, and who knowss what's under the non-original paint... maybe I'm just a poor-boy, but I think it's far surpassed it's value already.

The production numbers he's quoting don't sound right either... hmm... for one there's no such thing as a "Ram Air 3 455," it's either RA3 (which is a 400) or it's a 455 can't be both. Which isn't to say it didn't have the "Ram Air" induction, or functional hood scoops. Confusing isn't it? The PHS sheet he has there lists 455HO (all '70 GTO 455s were "HO" btw), so that makes it one of 36,366 hardtop GTOs of which 1,986 were 455 Automatics. The 1 of 241 he's quoting is for convertibles.

Trust me dude, I know exactly what this one is. It's definitely not over priced at what I bid....if it goes over that then I'm cool too. I kinda specialize in 1970 GTO's.

Just trying to look out for a bro. Obviously we don't speak in the same dollar language LOL. I am to old Pontiacs as Fett is to guitars in that respect.

Damn I really need to get back to work on my car... do feel free to swing by any time and beat the multitude of dents out of my quarter panels tho. That's kinda where I'm stuck at now... I can promise plenty of frosty beverages for your trouble heh.

DAMN! I hate snipers. These zero feedback bidders drive me nuts. I hope it's bogus and the car is yours, Mark.

Yep, just received a second chance offer for 12,100. Now, how do I know that the winning bidder wasn't some "buddy" of his jacking it up just to see what my high bid was? Looks to me like if that guy hadn't bid I would have got it for 11,900 no? Hell I know it's only 200 bucks, but it's the principle of the matter.

Yes, it may have been that way, but look out for yourself only. If the car is worth the extra 200 bucks, fuck it. Think of the value of the car when you are done with the resto.
