is it just me or have the noobs been touchy lately?
at what point do you get out of noobness, exactly?
At 50 posts, exactly.:ROTF: That's when the poor noob has been ragged on for about 10 posts. Then he reacts for about 10. Then we go off on a tangent for 20. And 10 more for good measure. And then everything settles down and life is good and he's no longer a noob. It's in the "Rules".

Bullshit. Noobs are treated like crap for the most part. It's as if they are being initiated into a fraternity. Read this, search that, do this, do that you fucking noobs! When in actuality, the persons riding their ass probably pulled the same boneheaded moves.
I agree with that pretty much and I can tell you from members of other boards that is the correct perception of the JCF towards new users. Its almost like there are several admin wannabes that are too quick to point out errors noobs make.
And while on the topic Rons spelling corrections that got old years ago but hey, it it makes him feel better for doing so...no harm, no foul, no biggie I certianly dont come here to show how bright or intelligent I am, I dont do spell checkers and have periodic typos but I don't care as long as what I was saying was understood
As far as I know, Ron has been off the spell checker for quite a while.

Going back to the newb questions, people ought to keep in mind one seemingly trivial but applicable fact:
The new newb doesn't realize that the previous newbs asked the exact same questions. It's an endless cycle, and not surprising if you consider the amount of incorrect info floating around the web...and blatant lies posted by eBay scam artists. Someone new to Jacksons would have no reason to suspect that a "rare USA Jackson made in Fort Worth, Texas, with factory Jackson-branded EMG pickups" is a Japanese guitar with passive Jackson pickups attached to an active mid-boost...for example.
The truth is, some people are just looking for quick answers. They might never return, or they might end up buying Jacksons left and right, becoming a valued contributor to the forum in the process. You just never know.
Stop trying to get this train back on the rails.:ROTF:

I still am a newbie to the board and I have always been treated well. I may not receive a lot of responses to my threats that I start, but I have never been treated badly. I think it's like high school - you just know who can be picked on.
Damnit! at first glance i thought it said " is it just me or have the Moobs been touchy lately?" and thought it might have been Tim giving Joe shit again like the feedback post..... i guess my eyes are going
