  • Blue Angels here at work

It's that time of year again.
Fleet Week in the Bay Area.
The Blues are using our tarmak to park this year.
More pics to come as other A/C show up.
I'm taking most of the shots from the roof of our Maintenance building shown in the back ground.

There is nothing like the Blue Angels in the Bay Area. When I worked in the City to hear the thunder reverb off the buildings while the were practicing their runs was just awsome. Just my luck. I'm there on the 12th.

Oh,two F-22's were at the air show. Very cool planes!
The Half round hanger you see in the back ground used to hold B-29's back in the old days.
              It's called "B-29 Hanger"

I have seen the Angels before and they are awesome. I would really like to see their Herc do the jato take off, that would be killer.

                      No pics of the F-22's.
I was at Fishermans Wharf drunk as a skunk.
                      To much beer and sun.
All my pics I took were crap. I wounder why :ROTF:
When I got home I pretty much passed out only to have my upset wife
wake me up and ask why I got shots of girls butts on the camera.
Without thinking I blamed my friend. She didn't believe me

How cool. I had a friend who worked at Uniteds maintenence facillity in Oakland. I was able to visit and look at the 777s and 747s being worked on there. very cool. Got to sit in the cockpit of a 747 and walk in an empty 777. Man those engines are huge. They were telling me how the ship an engine, by attaching it to a wing of another 747, so the plane might have 5 engines on the wings but only 4 operational. very interesting stuff.
on a side note, i was a part of the crew that crashed the XFL blimp at OAK back in 2000
