  • Did ya miss me??? :)

I know - I've been in hiding - but I'm back! Way too much crap going on!

We did get into the new place. We now have a room just for the guitars and music stuff. 37 guitars of ours (only one is actually mine - so not fair!) and 3 that Todd is working on or holding for someone. The new place is huge!

Got my procedure done - all is good for now. I do go back for follow-ups every 6 months, but it's better than the alternative - thanks so much for the good thoughts and energy sent my way.

There's a status hearing tomorrow (Oct 7) in my sexual assault case. That just means the defense attorney gets to bitch some more about how it's not fair that the bond was only dropped to $1 million and how it's not fair that he has to be in solitary confinement - I mean what could possibly happen to a cop in jail charged with raping 4 women??? Then the bastard is gonna say how he can't make the Nov. 6 trial start because he's defending a women that allegedly helped her boyfriend strap her 3 kinds in a car and push it in the lake.

And my dad is having surgery today to repair 3 hernias. Then he's got to have another prostate biopsy - his PSA has risen again and is now over 8. (normal is 1-4, above that is a signal of possible cancer.).

    I need a vacation!

Speaking of vacation - I've started to consider this forum as a bit of a sanctuary from whatever worries I have in life. This is the place where people can discuss whatever they want, whenever they want - and best of all, you get to talk about guitars without being looked at as a complete geek

Best of luck to you in life mrs. Tekky, God bless you, and I hope your dad will be ok to

Right - those are my babies! We actually have a custom shop in the making right now too. And my mother would never forgive me - those are her grandguitars. She's planning on naming them. She wants to make "clothes" for them!

I like to keep life interesting! And it never fails that if one thing is going on, about 50 others will all just happen to occur.

The move was relatively smooth - the guitar room was the first done!

The other stuff isn't too bad. Dad came out of surgery fine. Had the hernia surgery the old fashioned way, no laproscopic. But it went well.

I don't need to be in court tomorrow - I'll get a call from my advocate or the detective after court to let me know what's going on. I still need to write my "victim's impact statement", but otherwise it's just a bunch of waiting.

And as Guitardude86 said - this place is like a sanctuary. I can come bitch and moan and nobody cares. I can look at nice guitars and get lots of support for all the other crap going on. It's actually pretty darn nice!

You should have seen Todd's face when I told him Mom wants to dress the "girls"!

Personally...I am curious enough about it to at least allow her to do Halloween costumes!!!

That could be very entertaining - especially when one year I wanted her to make me an angel costume (cause we all know I'm an angel!) - she made it for me. The gown was red satin - the reasoning she gave "Well you look better in red."

Congrats on the new place, and good luck with everything else. Sounds like you have a full plate. Tell Todd I said hey.

Well, I got my update on the trial:

The prosecution has requested that the sexual assault case and the attempted breaking and entering and stalking case from June be combined. They are still waiting for the defense attorney to request a delay. So there will be another hearing next Friday October 13 to hear the consolidation request and discuss a trial delay.

I was also told that they have handed over the names and addresses of the victims. They "voluntarily" gave it in private to keep the names out of the court docket and therefore the public. Now as long as he stays in jail, I think I can deal with that.
