The mets are the biggest bunch of mutts in baseball history. The only reason they are where they are is due to Willie Randolph, ex-Yankmee-lol

Is Torre really on the chopping block? If so that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

There is no baseball without the Yankees, don't forget that. Steinbrenner will be writing a check in the neightborhood of 90 million to MLB so the teams in the smaller markets can have a "fair" share of the profits. The problem is that the owners don't put this money they receive into their own teams, they are too busy putting it in their pockets. I can't believe my beloved team has turned into the Atlanta Braves, the worst feeling in the world. Win the division every year and completely underachieve in the playoffs. You cannot take away the way verlander hung in there, he could have easily fallen apart, but he didn't. the rainout changed everything, the ghosts don't come out until nighttime in yankee stadium, and when game 2 got rained out until the next day, I knew we were in trouble. We've lost our last 4 playoff games at home during the daytime. Quite a dissappointing year, especially when I think back to missing about 5 games total this year. You can tip your hat to Kenny Rogers, and you can almost feel good for him even if you're a Yankee fan , he did nothing but get shelled in his playoff career until Fri. night. But I am willing to bet any amoiunt of money, money I do not have that the A's whip the piss out of Kenny when he takes the mound next time. You know where to reach me, I'm trying to prevent this Atlanta Brave logo from taking form on all of my stuff. It's frightening.
sorry my bad... yes, i meant the 86 met's

            DK2,
I'll never forget in '86 it was the red Sox vs. the Mets. A true yankee fans worst nightmare. I walked into St. Anastasias, a local catholic church, put a quarterin the box, lit a candle in front of the blessed mother and asked God if there was any way that he could make them both lose at the same time? Really. the '86 Mets were a a really sick and talented bunch. Out ofcontrol on the party scene too.

              Congrats Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in mourning, so I'll be brief. We were outclassed and outplayed. So we deserved to get our asses handed to us. All that money does not guarantee a championship, and it doesn't guarantee continuity. Time to clean house and get some regular guys in there that can play together. Get rid of Proctor, hell get rid of all middle relief other than Bruney. Pitching staff has to go except for Wang.

Unfortunately, Torre may bear the brunt of his 'individuals'. Not wanting to play as a team was the downfall.

Congrats to the Tigers pitching staff. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                  Don,
the truth of the matter was this-

1-Wed. Night's rainout fukked us in the ass with our pants on, plain and simple. We've lost our last 4 home daygame playoff games. Plus the ghosts don't come out until nighttime. It gave Verlander another day of rest and he did not fold when we could have broke that game open starting in inning number one. We went 1 for 16 with R.I.S.P. as well, Verlander did not blow up when Damon caught lightning in a bottle and gave us a 3-1 lead with the 3 run homer. Verlander threw 101 m.p.h. and kept the tigers around, and mussina could not hold them down. When we lost game two, no actualy, when game two got rained out I told my girlfriend that the yanks are actually in some trouble. She was like-"how, we just wailed on them?" I said, this rainout and day game is not a good situation. the kid here knows his stuff.

2-Kenny Rogers, who before Friday night had pitched 21 innings of post season baseball, giving up 20 runs, not too good. In fact that 's not even shitty it's almost unbelieveable. Anyway, he got blasted by the braves when he was on the yankees, he walked in the winning run when he was with the mets against Atlanta in game 7!!!, and the Yankees knocked the snot out of him when he was on Texas and did not get out of the 1st inning. Never won a game, never pitched well either. He then comes out and threw the game of his life. Yes , we had baserunners but he was really incredible and as volatile as I get , I actually cracked a smile for the guy, because of his past hammerings, I felt good for the guy ,even if for only about 1 and 3'10's of a second. If you can't, you're not a fan of baseball ya know. Don't worry, he'll be back to normal when he faces the A's. I'm taking all bets-lol

3-Jaret Wright, end of story. You can't send a guy to mound who's most likely going to put you in a catch up situation, and he did awfully fast. We tanked, and I say if Matsui(who i dig) and sheffield did not come back and infiltrate into the lineup and ruin the groove they had going, we'd be wailing on the A's right now. We handled this team rather easily during the regular season and game one. You lose the intesity and you lose. Tigers young arms are looking really fukkin' good. And that's the deal from the most dangerous person on this board right now from the outcome of this absolute comedy of massive tankings that took place by the team I live and die for. Now I get to cheer for the JETS, much cooler situation, I know we suck large meatwand.
We'll have Barry Zito, and we'll hopefully bring up Philip Hughes if he's ready next spring. He's a fukkin' phenom Don, the future of the team , along with wango Tango . We've got some great young talent. Cano, Melky, Wang, Hughes, Andy Philips can field, , needs to learn how to hit, i'll give you a rundown of next year already if you want to PM me. I'm making trades and deals already. Bottom line- I'm really fukkin' pissed, but I will root for the american League that's for sure.
                  See Ya.

I hope your wrong about Kenny Rogers Tommy against the A's...I was expecting him to get naild too only because his last couple outings he didnt have it going on. He also came in relief in extra innings when the Tigers were trying to win the division in the last series of the season...he walked in 2 runs...the GW.

I was happy to see him shutout NY..he was more amped up than I've ever seen him (a lot with the Rangers) ...when the guys on..he's on and he was really on last Friday

That's because he's never been on in the playoffs in his entire career, i was , well i cracked a smile for him. If you can't do that you are not a baseball fan. He redeemed his whole career with that one game.
