Meeting a celeb ... well Hendrix and Zappa are gone ... so I´d say having a beer with Allan Holdsworth or smoking a cigar with Brian Setzer sound interesting (it´s nice to hear that he actually is cool) but the idea of meeting an idol isn´t tempting at all.

Not a major-league guitar hero, but I met Mitch Harris of Napalm Death when they last played locally. Super cool guy, he remembered me from a previous gig, and even when his cellphone rang he gave 'em a "Call me back..." and carried on talking with us. Class act. Great band!

best experience I've had in this direction was meeting sinergy on wacken 2002. I've been a huge fan of them right from the start, as well as bodom, and I'm a total waltari-nut, so I really enjoyed this.
first off, there was no meet'n greet date set for them at all on wacken, but they managed to get the last date on that day.
they all were really nice. kimberly (their singer) asked me to get on their small stage or how you call it, were they were sitting behind their tables to get a photo done with both of us, they all signed a poster I had with me...
but roope and janne were the best. we've been talking, for something like half an hour and even when the festival-guys turned out the lights for the meet'n greet they didn't seem to be moving anytime soon.
both were about as drunk as you need to be on a festival and it surely was kind of fun!!
AFAIK they went to the beergarden later to meet up with the fans who missed the meet'n greet for some reason. fine people!!

I'd actually like to meet Pete Townshend. He's a bit of an old fart, but I get the impression he's a very nice dude.
