  • Halloween candy

Just got back from Walmart, they have a whole aisle full of halloween candy, I haven't seen most of that stuff since I was a kid. loaded up on Reeses and some other mixed stuff, Dots, sweetarts etc, we're so far out in the boonies we don't get trick or treaters, so this is pretty much my private stash, just about made myself sick this afternoon, just like when I was a kid, what do you prefer the new stuff or the old nostalgic candies

My fav were always the reeses easter eggs. Now i think they have reeses pumkins. I went to a candy store in NC last month and saw candies i hadnt seen since i was a kid. Including those little wax bottles with liquid in them, I liked em when i was a kid, but now it tastes like ear wax. Razzles candy/gum was always a favorite too. The day after halloween is the time to stock up

No, but they say 90% of all people chew the ears off the chocolate bunnys first.

WalMart has had the Big Aisle Of Candy for years (at least the one here has). Whenever a Holiday rolls around, they dedicate both sides of one aisle to it, and it's usually candy (Valentines, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas).

Don't pass up the Ghost Peeps! And Punkin Peeps

Whatever you do, DO NOT get the Peep-looking things that are dressed up with candy accessories (found these at Easter - Chicks and Duckies with hats and such made of candy like you would decorate a cake with). Those things tasted like rubber. Bleh :puke:

We usually get the Brach's Autumn Mix (Candy Corn and Punkins in the same bag), but we have to go to another store to get the Farley's stuff which is little candy bats and cats and other Halloween-related shapes. That's just as good as the Candy Corn but not as sweet (to me anyway), and Farley's is the only one that makes them.

I tried the Resse's PeanutButter Punkins - I'm a Reese's Fan, but those are just too rich for me

I'll usually tank up on candy at Halloween, but this year all I got was the bag of Junior Mints in the small individual boxes and some Spooky Peeps
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Well, it's either gonna be a dime or a quarter. If you show up you gotta wear a costume; last year I had a couple guys show up in street clothes...I sent them away
