    just saw this. wow. to put this in a bit of perspective, this was filmed 1-2 months after june carter cash passed away and a little over two months before his own passing. this was at the carter family fold. he was just too fucking cool.

        Poor guy was about to keel over between songs. Damn. I also wanted to put my foot in the ass of everyone walking in front of the camera. And cut the head off the kid towards the end.

                        Solid - thanks Sully. Been listening to a lot of the American recordings lately, some crap, but some solid gems like his cover of "Hurt". Notice the hands shaking like he's coming off a 10 day bender (he had a neurological disease in his last days), but the song starts and he's good to go, still can't believe he's gone...
                        Crime doesn't pay. Neither does lutherie...

                            I still love the real old Sun Studio recordings. I was spinning those lp's when I was just about 7-8 years old with my first POJ record player.
