  • I drink too much.

Yeah, I drink, all the time. As I speak, I just killed another bottle of vodka.
I love to be drunk. Anyone else have this problem lately?

I don't but a friend of mine drinks quite a lot, even in weekdays. But he still gets up the next day and gets to work on time! It totally amazes me. I'd like to tell him he's got a problem, but he seems to be pretty happy, hell, I live with the guy. He goes out at night, and when he comes home I'll be asleep, so he doesn't bother me. Next day I see him when he comes home from work and he's all happy pappy, cheerful and glad. Totally weird!

yeah, I drink almoust on a daily basis. but I usually stick with red wine or a couple of beers in the evening and I never drink alone. just love to have a drink hanging out with friends.
but a bottle of vodka? that's quite a lot of this heavy stuff dude...

I used to drink some bottles myself few years ago, but at least I kept on puking all night long right after, so I think everything was still fine with me then...

beeing drunk is great, but I think you might overdo this a little bit...

I'm a social drinker mainly....only on the weekends if we're going to dinner I'll have a few beers, or at the bar getting loaded....that's it....I've only drank alone a handful of times in my life. I pretty much stick to beer only now.
        Hope you get help.

Sounds like you're being a little excessive if you drink "all the time". Drinking is fun, but only in moderation. If you can't moderate it you need to just quit. I drink alcohol every evening, but that doesn't mean I get sloppy ass drunk every night and pass out. It's all about self control.

I have a drink (or two) most evenings after all my responsibilies are taken care of. I used to drink too much, but I had to learn to moderate. Moderation is the key to pretty much everything.

i used to drink like a stallion, but found it's too much work in the end, and one blast takes your whole day of , oh forget it. I am not a source of advice on this subject.

Judging by the amount of smilies this fourm has devoted to boozing, you can't have a problem with it.

I used to drink everyday, now I drink maybe 3 or 4 beers a week and thats usually while watching a game. I haven't been drunk since the Motley Crue show last year. I guess it's just really not much fun for me anymore. I only drink now cause I like the taste of beer.

I need to practice moderation when it comes to guitar and amp purchases; I have better inventory at my house than any of the local shops.

Nothing wrong with getting lit every now and then. But, if you're posting on an internet board about this, it sounds like a lot more than "every now and then". And maybe you're starting to admit that to yourself.

                          just remember this:

Stan: Dad, you like to drink. So have a drink once in a while. Have two. If you devote your whole life to completely avoiding something you like, then that thing still controls your life and, 'n you've never learned any discipline at all.
Randy: But, maybe... I'm just the kind of person who needs to have it all or nothing.
Stan: Naw. All or nothing is easy. But learning to drink a little bit, responsibly, that'sa disciprine. Disciprine... come from within.
"I hate these filthy neutrals! With enemies, you know where they stand. But with neutrals... who knows? It sickens me!"

I drink a few every day. Soon as I get off of work, there's a beer in my hand. I enjoy the taste of beer. Don't get drunk often.

I didn't think I had a problem until I got a DUI in 1992 and had to go to alcohol awareness school and AA meetings as part of my probation. At the least I hope you don't drink and drive; I learned my lesson on that one. I have never since and will never again get drunk and drive.

I didn't drink every day, but when I did drink I couldn't rein it in. sometimes I'd have 3 and stop, other times I'd drink til I passed out. If you can't control it, you have a problem, even if you only drink on New Year's Eve.

If you do drink every day, and are polishing off bottles of vodka regularly, it's only a matter of time until you destroy your liver. You will be dead shortly after that time. That's not a "maybe", it's inevitable. Some last longer than others, but it's simple biology.
