Deer are very mean animals. I think shooting them with a gun is too quick. This season, I'm gonna try and capture one live, strap him in a chair, and make him read JCF threads over and over.
My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.

I agree, they're innocence is reason enough to kill them right ?
Maybe we should mount some puppies over the fireplace ?!!!
Or a kitty ... yeah a kitty !!!! Kill it !! Kill it !!
Yep a deer hunter here.
I'm gonna be up-grading to a pearson stealth soon.
Not one of, but the smoothest and quietest bow I've ever pulled back and shot. I do favor bowtech bows because of the fast and smooth mods they offer, but I have yet to shoot another bow as smooth and quiet as pearsons stealth, stock that is. No extra's like sts sytems and etc to make bows more smoother and quieter. As stock, the stealth wins hands down.
I only hunt deer the first two months any later then thanksgiving, I'm done hunting.
To cold to be out in a tree stand hunting deer after november, I don't do cold, me and cold aren't buddies.
The gun season for antlered deer here in NW Florida is really late, 4 days at Thanksgiving weekend then 12/14 to 2/14, to correspond with the late rut, usually about xmas, 2 per day, 3 in possesion, no season limit
Right on! My kind of thread. It's all I do other than guitar playing. If I listed all of the pics of me with Whitetails it would take up too much space, so here's a pic of my gameroom and some other various pics of mounts...
Colorado Elk.....
2400 lb. Buffalo....
Mule deer....
Antelope....
And finally, my greatest achievement yet, Alaskan Grizzly....
Here in NC, unfortunately, the deer are more like Greyhounds with horns :ROTF:
I haven't been hunting in several years...mainly due to time constraints...I just no longer have any...
Being from Maine, I was severely disappointed with the size of the deer here....but, you can kill up to 6 of them legally annually....vice the 1 in Maine.
The first I killed here was a 6-pt who dressed out at a whopping 130....when I brought it to the tagging station, one of the "locals" said "Damn good deer son"... I thought, dude, I just killed Rin Tin Tin:ROTF:
