Wow, this is very sad news!
I wasn't too familiar with them back then, but had heard some of their stuff more recently, and stumbled across some of their vids on youtube. They were pretty amazing for their age (Joan & Lita were like 17 or 18), and probably the best & most influential all-girl group ever. It would've been something if they ever did a reunion!

Great friggin band. One of my faves from my early days. Plus 2 of the members went on to be pretty famous in their own right.
