"I'm gonna move my mike back a little I said I said..." Dave rules.

Watching all these VH videos makes me want to re-learn some of their tunes. I haven't jammed on old VH in ages.

I won't pay to see Dave croak out half-forgotten lines and Eddie stumble around the stage in a stupor. Sorry. Wish I had seen them in their prime.

They *could* get it together if they really wanted to, but I think what they really want is your cash.

              from blabbermouth:

TMZ.com reports that VAN HALEN has officially hired 15-year-old Wolfgang Van Halen — the son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen and estranged wife Valerie Bertinelli, and nephew of drummer Alex Van Halen — as the new bassist for the band.

Wolfgang replaces longtime bassist Michael Anthony, who left the band earlier this year. VAN HALEN spokesperson Janie Liszewski tells TMZ.com that Wolfgang, known as "Wolfie," has already joined his dad and uncle for rehearsals in the studio. Wolfie played dates with his father during the band's 2004 tour, and the song "316" on 1991's "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" was named for Wolfie's birth date that same year.

According to TMZ.com, the band is still without a lead singer, despite rumors that David Lee Roth might rejoin.

My god, it just gets weirder and weirder. Maybe Wolfie has a schoolmate who can handle lead vocals and wouldn't demand as much $$$ as Roth.

Yes, this is getting too weird for me.

I'm sorry, but without Mike its not a reunion and now without Mike I highly doubt Dave will sign on. Man, the VH bros can sure make a complete mess of anything.

What the VH bros need to do is find a living VH relative and make it an offical new Van Halen "family" tour.

In all honesty, at this point I'd rather check out a good VH tribute band than go see wolfie and his dad and uncle.

Its very obvious, the real VH is dead and gone and its definitely for the best.
I prefer to remember them in their younger rocking glory days.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

Mike may not be the greatest bass player in the world, but he's the backbone of the VH vocals. It's an essential part of their trademark "sound". Just wouldn't be the same without him.

Wolfie in the band? Strike 2.

I hope it works out with Roth. I've seen both after the brake up but never together. It's going to be wierd without Micheal Anthony.

Great ... it'll be a frikkin freak show.
Michael is VH's backing vocals. Without him, what's the point?
And I could give a rats ass about Eddie's kid. Just because he's Eddie's kid doesn't mean dick in my book.
Talk about a slap in the face against Michael... being replaced by a 15 year old.

That pic is a couple of years old, so I would hope he lost the majority of his baby fat; you know how quickly a teen can drop weight. As for him replacing Mike, if it's true... I'm one of the biggest VH supporters around here and this makes me want to gag. As many of you have said, Mikey is such a large part of Van Halen's sound that it's impossible to be VH without him.

You know what would really suck? If Wolfie can sing and play. I hate being wrong.
