The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
My parents have had dish service sine it hit the market. They live deep in the Colorado mountains with all kinds of bad weather. Their's never ever ever ever goes out. If yours goes out from some weather you've got other issues.
PS. Dirty secret of the cable industry. All their feeds are satellite and retransmitted to you through the cable.
Fett, I got rid of cable because they were at the point of switching over to digital and stopped. AT&T was selling off parts of the company. All of my premium channels have heavy white lines. Had about 10 guys come out and no one would listen to the last guy who told them what the issue was. They broken my fucking VCR! It was always our problem with loose connections in the house. We had enough and when to Dish. Comcast finally bought our town back and finished it, but with the dish we have been getting a better picture then cable ever had. Except when it pours of course.
Heavy cloud cover and rain can block your satellite reception, usually for just a brief period. Happens here from time to time. Look at it this way Fett, No TV guide channel , no Joan and Melissa Rivers, now thats a plus
