"I play live all the time and its a must to have a Peterson Stobo stomp tuner onstage because those Boss TU-2 tuners aren't accurate".
How about..
"Vetta's suck because I had a Spyder 1 x 10" that sounded like canned ass. Modeling sucks in general and you can't hear a modeler live".
"So what did I do?.... I got me a Triple Rectifier to replace my Spyder 1 x 10" combo and its sooooo much betterrer and loudererrr. BTW... can a Triple Rectifier do metal??? What pedal should I put in front of it to add more gain because I am a gainaholic??" What cabinets should I get for it because I am currently playing through my parents stereo?
Oh yea... I forgot... Vetta's suck and they aren't loud and they sound like fake crap"
Having a conversation with a tool like the above example makes me want to rip my own eyeballs out.
Here's one I see on boards all the time, not as much on th JCF though:
"I can play all of (insert famous guitarist's) solos note for note, and plenty of harder stuff too, so I know I'm a better guitarist than that fucker!"
Bullshit! What the fuck have you written, recorded and sold to compare to his stuff? Do you have any idea what he plays when he's practicing?
I know they're not all bullshit, but there are at least a few "I'm going to order a custom shop guitar with these specs..." threads to which "right after I get a job and move out of my parent's house" needs to be added.
