YouTube so screwed

So now that Google has bought YouTube, who want's to place bets on when it will become nothing more than an online library of posers and teenage idiots trying to do jackass stunts?
Oh wait... that would be a copyright violation.. can't even have the word "jackass" in a video description.

Another great idea destroyed by corporate greed.

I'm guessing that more than 50% of the content will be gone by the end of November.

Some videos are really nice and all...but some are just

The only thing they are going to clear up is anything that someone can claim a copyright to.
No more old concert videos or cool tv show clips.

Yes, the main reasons I use youtube:
-live/old/new videoclips/concerts
-south park episodes
-the simpsons episodes
-top gear clips

..all copyrighted. If these things all go then I see no reason in visited youtube again..

98.9 % of the content on that site is in violation of copyright laws.

User uploaded content is hard to police...I hope they have some Google green set aside to either pay for lawsuits or pay for content rights.

I actually prefer Google Video, and yes it has copyrighted material. It just gets deleted once in awhile..........

Some interesting insight into this deal was posted on Mark Cubans blog. Of particular note was how the musicians / actors get screwed in the copyright deals. In a nutshell the media outlets are paid off for the copyright violations, but they aren't called copyright violations. If they were, then the talent would have to get a portion of the money as licensing / royalties. So they pay off the media outlets as being part of youTube without any copyright infringement suits being filed against Google. It's really an interesting read, though a bit long.
