I don't kow why I am doing this to myself.....................after a 20 year hiatus I am going to play hockey again (couldn't really dedicate the time while I was in the military). I am going to take up my old position of goalie again (less skating, but damn I remember that the puck HURTS!!!). Hopefully I come out of the season intact LOL....time to go stretch.

Oh yeah ...I think that this newest endeavor will help pull me out of the mental slump I'm in.....besides ....I was always a MUCH better goaltender than I was a guitarist LOL.

Put an OFR Floyd in your cup. I hear they are bullet-proof.

Cool! Good luck & have fun! One of the things I miss most due to my workload is having the time to play team sports. Whatever the level of competition, there's just something great about being on a team & playing hard to win, even if you lose. I really miss it.

                  awesome, man!

A friend wants us both to sign on for rugby next season and I've been debating doing it. 34, out of shape & no competitive sport for nearly 10 years, and planning to run around a paddock for a couple of hours each weekend, getting thumped by fast-moving behemoths. Sounds like great fun

Been playing for 20+ years and I fear the day where I am unable to play anymore! Comign from Saskatchewan Ive played with quite a few fellows in the NHL. Seeing as how Atomic is going to the ducks game, id like to point out that I played with Chris Kunitz in high school hockey(forward with Anaheim).

Only scary thing about playing goalie? Buying new pads, my buddy just coughed up roughly 3k for some used and new stuff. Doesnt help that he's big, but yowza!
