Saw it up at WalMart (just got back a few minutes ago). Is it decent or a bunch of typical poorly-shot 70's live footage?
There was also a Judas Priest DVD - British Steel. It said it was an interview with Tom Allom (producer) and some old footage of when they were making the album, and featured most of the tracks from British Steel.
But I just got the Live Vengeance DVD not too long ago, so if it's more of the same....
And since we're talking music DVDs, Pink Floyd's Pulse is good, as was The Wall (couldn't believe the "names" in it - Bob Hoskins, that Hotel manager guy from Ghostbusters ).
Still haven't watched the Led Zeppelin thing, and I've had it about a year
What about the new Robert Plant DVD? Any good, or is Plant's voice crap?I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I got it, it's great for die hard KISS fans. This is the first of at least 3 DVDs. This one covers 1974-1977. Has a bunch of full concerts and also other broadcasts like Paul Linde Halloween special, Don Kirschner's Rock concert etc.... Pretty cool. Video quality, in most cases was pretty good. Also there were 3 different versions sold. One at Walmart, One at Best Buy and one for all other retailers. Each one has a different 3rd bonus disk of an extra full concert. The one I got was from Circuit City, it has (the bonus disk) their Feb 1977 Madison Sq. Garden show. I had to get that one since I was there in person for that show. First concert I ever went to.
Extra bonus star for that reason alone!!!!!!!
PS: it was real cheap. The price tag was 21.99 but I got it on sale on the first day of sale for 15.99.
Extra, Extra bonus star for that reason also!!!!

Hmmm. No Circuit City or Best Buy close enough to warrant the drive, and I'm not buying the same DVD 3 times to get all 3 bonus discs.
Looks like it'll be Emule for meI want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

anything with Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley in their prime up to the end of it with the Love gun album is great for me. When Destroyer and Rockand roll over hit the store shelves I was a really big fan of Kiss. All of my older friends would rib me over it calling them a kiddie band, and I'd say listen to the songs and then tell me before you bash 'em. They never listened to the tunes so i defend them up to this day-lol
My first concert was '76 at madison square Garden, I was 11. I knew what I wantd to be after that night, the baseball/football player dreams had been permanently smashed. I just saw the commercial plugs for it and i saw a lot of Kiss Alive uniforms on them during it. Kiss is easy to decipher what time of year or what album was out by their costumes. Destroyer is still one of the best covers in album history, and underrated albums in general, it rips, and this DVD , although it's another Kiss Corporate assault on the world, will be bought immediately, the walmart is open 24 hours up on beach blvd., if they have it i'm gonna get it right now. got to make the call, thanks for the good idea-lol!!!

Just an fyi on how to see the easter eggs (disk 1 is a live clip from 1974 and disk two is some home video of the guys playing at ace's wedding). Just hit the up arrow on your dvd remote until the KISS logo lights up. Then click play."Yes,..that's when they used to shove a red hot spike in your peehole until you screamed "yes, yes, godammit ..you fuggin' dicks..I'm a witch..I am witch..you cocksuckers"" horns666

I have all three different versions on the way now. I will be onselling two of them and keeping all the bonus discs. Again, damn you Gene!!!
Can't wait to get it though. I have got pretty much most of it and I wish they hadn't cut things like the Paul Lynde show down, that would have made it perfect and my vhs collection more redundant, but you can't win them all. Bring on the next two sets I say!!
