  • My $200 Levis 501

I just bought a pair of real nice 501's at a thriftstore. They could be worth over $200. I paid $7.50 for them.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

Worth $200 based on the amount of denim, or what?

Some of the stuff people will pay to much for boggles my mind. I can understand high dollar guitars. They tend to have a longer life than clothing. Vintage clothing is not a bad sideline. I know a girl that hits yardsales on the weekends and then turns what she finds into good money on ebay. I dont think she has made a score like this, but she does have good income from it.

They date like to the '70's. A guy at the fleamarket gave me the tip about the "Red Line". He bought a pair for $1.00 and sold them for $50.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

my brother tried to do that with levis demin jackets. He does much better with records. Sold one that he paid $1 for for $1800.

Judging from these prices, my oldest brother must have thrown out 10K in perfectly good jeans throughout the 70's.:ROTF:

If your trailer was full of jeans, instead of 6stringed wood pieces, you could have bought the whole trailer park

Did you read all that crap about the stitching? If anyone ever rags on me for being a screw counter, I'll say at least it's better than being a friggin' thread counter.
