Killing saddam will make things mixed up in Iraq.Lots of attacks will happen.

The best way to control the situation is to put him in prison for life.

I wonder what he will ask for his last dinner?
      A big bag of doritos?.....

While he was/is a crazy funk, this will make a martir out of him and prolong inner country violence.
Mr. Patience.... ask for a free consultation.

I think if put in prison for life his risk of escape is too high. There are far too many Saddam supporters kicking around the desert for him to be left in a jail cell waiting for his plane ticket to North Korea to arrive.

He has many more trials to go through. What happens if he gets sentenced to death in all of them? There will be an appeal for every death sentence. It's automatic. He may not live long enough to get the old roppa dope.

Wasn't worth the 3000+ american deaths that it cost to hang one Iraqi and have the rest of Iraq fall into civil war.

They said since he was sentenced to death in the first trial, the other trials will be canceled. Once the appeal processed is finished which is nothing more than a review of the case by 9 judges, his sentence must be carried out within 30 days.

Hanging is the way the death sentence is carried out under their law, so that's what should be done. No one can say Saddam personally doesn't deserve the death sentence, and alive he'd always be a threat to the current government.

Sure the insurgents will go off when he's executed. Hopefully our troops will be ready for that and can kill the fuck out of a bunch of them. Enough to make others have doubts about harboring them.

It would have been a lot better if he'd had the courage of his sons who at least went out fighting, though. Not that I have any respect for Uday and Qusay, but they knew the jig was up and ended the game right there. Actually if I remember correctly Uday killed himself at the last.

45000-50000, depending on who is listing them. The 6000+ American Casualties(Non Fatal) Remember that means everything from being hit in the arm, to body parts(eyes, faces, legs, arms, shot through the spine) being blown off. Thanks to modern medicine things that would have killed you in Vietnam, they can keep you alive now, albeit half your body missing, but alive.

Hmmm really seems worth it, doesn't it.

From what I understand, he gets a bunch of virgins and whatever else he wants if he dies as a martyr (according to his religion). Doesn't sound like much of a punishment to me.
