I did a while back and was finding 1900 coins, mercury dimes, standing liberty coins. Haven't done it for a while, but thinking of killing some time.

I only use mine when my dad loses his keys "somewhere" in our 18 acre yard :ROTF:I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

You stereotyping me?
I'll be the one with the six-pack hanging off my belt buckle, throwing beer tabs on the beach in front of me, just so I can rediscover them with a metal detector.:ROTF::ROTF:Occupation: Department Director for the Department of Redundancy Department

I used it to find my water cutout valve in my yard. I had to after one of my pipes burst and was washing down the side of my neighbor house for 4 hours. :ROTF:Occupation: Department Director for the Department of Redundancy Department

Was the fuse intact?
We used to move those things around with 'hernia bars', though the ones I worked with came on a pallet and wasn't stored under the ground.:ROTF: :ROTF:Occupation: Department Director for the Department of Redundancy Department

Treasure hunting is cool really. I've got a few detectors, though I haven't used them for several years. I've found some cool stuff. nothing really valuble though. I've known a few people who found some nice rings(read $$$) on the beach, lots of old coins, and years back, what was left of a stash of Spanish gold coins. It can be a pretty cool hobby if you have decent places to hunt and can dodge the "I'm too cool for that" crew. The Buzzard does not fear
