Gary..I never thought of that but yeah, especially that clip..a bit higher range tho..

I actually booted him out of my first band..when we were kids, about 16 years old..

I must admit he does sound better these days..especially with Tall Paul in Dark Arena..some VERY good playing in that camp..but I'm not down with their writing style..it's very cool to listen too...too "noodly" for my taste..I write much more straight foward and "brutal", with all the grooves and hooks I can muster..there's no hot pit action with their style..

I want fuckers to kill each other in the pit..I gotta have the pit of death man!!!

Here is Juan and Paul in Dark Arena..very King Diamond-ish..which is great..but KD is a mosh free zone..I love that, but it's not what I do..

I feel kinda bad..because Paul has been asking me to join him for 10 years now..in every band including my own..

Shit, their new one "Eclipse of the Sun" is kinda Nevermore-ish, they just posted that one..hell if they keep that up..I just may join that camp!

I talk with Paul about the "brutal" thing quite often..he may be listening to me..That drummer rocks, I want him for my shit...those kicks are exactly what I need..but there is other drummers in the works/plans..we'll see..

Ty, my singer and Paul burned some bridges between them in their old band..they buried the hatchet personally, but Ty won't work with Paul again..they are both friends of mine for some time..There is no chance of that happening..I've tried.

Killer guitarists are fairly easy to find compared to killer singers. Killer singers are very hard to find, especially ones that aren't assholes. I've never read a bad word posted about Ty so my thoughts are that he is a rare find and I'd humor him. I'm sure Paul's a great guy and a great player too, but if you can still do separate bands with each that's cool.

You're right Rich..and that's exactly what I'm doing. Ty just wants our BON material just the two of us..it rolls pretty naturally that way..we are like a Metal version of Tenacious D..


I think Ty is the best around these parts includng Ripper..Ripper guitarist really want to use him..that says alot right there!!

Ty is cool with me in Attaxe..he'd prolly be pissed if I joined Dark Arena..which is fine with me really..we got our own original thing goin'..Ty is in a cover band so he can do all his favorite singers..especially Soundgarden..he loves that stuiff..

E.. you nailed it right there..every metal singer in Cleveland other than Ty IS "Opera-man"..the Adam Sandler version at best..this is true!!!

I wouldn't do this without Ty..He is 50% Bed Of Nails..I'm the other half..

That skull is usually on one of those books..it was their idea to put it up there..

I really like the lead singers voice. Dark Arena has some cool sounding stuff. No doubt that monster has some good chops, but I hear ya on the "noodly" thing, sometimes being too technical can kill the listening experience. Too many things going on and you lose the vibe with some of those weird time signatures.

Looking forward to the attaxe tunes. You should take some of your guitar riffs into that scene Bill. Tell Munster there to play bass for a few tunes and lets here Juans vox with some of your riffs!
