    oh,
    and
    Pavano sucks :p

Pavano's sucks, but is not as bad as Scott Proctor, even if he never pitches again.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

I was watching some reports on Matsuzaka last night. Everyone seems to fear him over there. Ya never know. He could come over here and dominate, or never pan out. Time will only tell.

Irabu had left a bad taste in our mouths. Maybe thats why the Yanks were never serious about bidding.

All I can say is that I'm happy to say bye bye to Foulke!!

And to think we courted Pavano as well ..

The hitters here are happy to see him go, LOL
I don't think Proctor is too bad, not great but not too bad either BUT

Irabu, Pavano, Leary, Plunk, Perez, Cadaret, Wright never mention these names again I could continue but you get my point

I don't blame you with Foulke. I look at it as giving up on his team. You got a better closer out of the deal though. Not that, that helps me out any.

I just have bad feelings with certain people. Proctor being my latest, as Tommy can attest to. He seemed to almost gurantee to give up a run when he came in. Fukkin Manny hittest one of the longest homeruns I've seen in a while off Proctor. I know that ball didn't retain it round shape after that.

Last year it was Tom Gordon. That loser is gone.

The year before that it was Aaron Boone and he was gone (though he did earn his money with one shot ).

Proctor's arrogant ass needs to hot the road. Maybe the Cowboys will sign him.:ROTF: :ROTF:

              The right-hander has a 108-60 career record with a 2.95 ERA and 1,355 strikeouts in 204 games.
He was 17-5 with a 2.13 ERA and 200 strikeouts for the Lions this year. He throws in the high-90s mph, has good off-speed pitches and is known for his deceptive "gyroball.

Those numbers tell it all. As the other top players that have come from Japan I doubt they would consider it unless they beleived he would be competetive at this level. He is also only 26 years old. Same age as Papelbon so he has some good years in him.

Good points about Mats here May Day. As we both know, being a Red Sox and Yankees fan respectively, that players react and play differently when they're embroiled in THE rivalry. And since the rivalry usually goes down to the last few days of the regular season, and then into the playoffs sometimes, that is the biggest test of how good they will be. Weaver wilted; Contreras wilted...they both leave and do great. So Matsazuka may have great stats (and I agree with DonF that it's Japanese league stats so take it with a grain of salt) but how he does in the hurricane of Red Sox-Yankees is how he will be judged, and ultimately how they are all judged. It will be an interesting season that's for sure!

And just to make note, the Mets were the second-highest bidder so they would have the next shot at him if that's how the system is set up.

THAT is another excellent point. This rivalry steps the personal competition up a notch.

BTW anyone notice Pedro M hinting about retirement if his shoulder isn't any better? It's looking like the sox made the right decision after all ..

He could join Don Zimmer as a bench coach.:ROTF:

I'll take our 19 year old phenom instead, Mr. Philip Hughes.
I've never heard as much of a buildup about a prospect until Matzaballsoupzaka or whatever his name is. he does look good , but he's gonna be thrust into the brutally unapologetic american league east. Hughes was left in double A all last year, i on't know why, he was mowing them down like grass. i guess when you're that young, you have to really be careful with that gazillion dollar arm.
The scouts say they have never seen a kid this young with such control. I'm getting fired up for baseball already. My stove is hot as a pistol, how's yours?
gotta go. back to headache you all later.
