  • I got a car for my son... yippee..

1987 Toyota Supra, 95K, clean title and Carfax, just about a 9.0 condition. No rust at all, anywhere, sport adjustable suspension, auto, every option except turbo. 3.0 liter 204hp, aftermarket exhaust, 16's, excellent CD stereo, dark red. Hopefully, if all goes well it will be delivered on Saturday. It will be in the garage until wrestling season is over and then Nick (my son) gets it as soon as he gets his first part time job.
    Pics to follow.

Cool!! I've rebuilt those engines in the past, usually around 250xxx miles. And it's not too fast. Good choice for a teenager.

yea, rear wheel drive. I drove it last night. It feels like a big, heavy powerful car. I am used to driving small 4 dr 4 cyl cars like my 2001 Sentra SE 2.0 and my 2000 Plymouth Neon LX so it was much different.

Congratulations, be carful as that car can get up a move. I had an 83 Supra...kickass cars. Mine was all black with blackout tail light kit and additional ground effects....that car got ripped off...they found it a couple months later stripped, no tires, rims, seats, stereo, ground effects you name it...they stole it

Its a sports car, and a bloody good looking one at that! But it isnt very fast at all. It does have 204hp, but it is quite heavy. So sure it'll get up and go (eventually) but its still a nice safe ride. Good taste dude, should do him well!

Thanks, once he has driven his Neon for 6 months he will get the Supra. It should be right in time for when he starts his senior year in HS. Alot of his friends have new cars, like BMW X3's, M3's, Evolutions, and a bunch of other new hig performance rides but a car like this will teach him to wrench a little. We plan to do some mods to it over the winter. Cold intake, turbo wing and some minor suspension mods.
Myself... technically, this is my first true sports car. The only other car that I owned (I have had around 25 cars) that would be considered a sports car is an old 1st generation Celica ST. I always wanted a real sports car. Back in 1987 this was one bad mutha. I wanted one bad until I saw the sticker price on the window. Holy crap. It cost almost as much as a small condo. I look forward to driving it too.
