I want some fish from Bergen right now, I ate it like a maniac when I was there.

I lived in Bergen for a year man.. Rainiest place in Norway, or so they say, after going to school about 70km's outside of Bergen (that's a long way to travel by bus every single day), I believe Norheimsund and those areas are worse off.. They may not have MORE rain, but it's so much more noticable because of the landscape over there.
I remember sitting in the schoolbus one day, wind blowing outside and rain pouring down, in Bergen there had been floods and landslides and people had died.
I looked to my right and there was a 200 m plunge right down the mountainside. The road was so narrow if a trailer had met us around a corner fast enough we would crash. I was, and still am, convinced of this.
That day was one of the worst days of my life because my fiance was at home, I was hearing about the landslides and I was a nervous wreck.
It rained around 240mm or something that day; anyway, I remember my teacher telling us that was as much as Oslo had in a whole year.
Some place! Oh, and I forget the best part: I never bought a single umbrella during my stay in Bergen, even tho the vast majority there seem unable to survive without one

Is it true that they actually have special repair shops for umbrellas in Bergen?

I once spent 1 week in Bergen. Not one single day did it rain!
And not one single day without beer and Indian food

Coming by plane from Denmark approaching Bergen is KILLER KILLER KILLER beautiful, looking down on the many reefs and the small islands. Did I say it is KILLER?!

@Monk: How would I know; I never used one!
I'm sure they do, but there's a lot of cheap umbrellas available so I guess most just buy a new one anyway

yeah Henrik, Bergen isn't all that bad when it's sunny; it's actually kind of nice (can't believe I said that), but I belong in Trondheim
