  • Quickie paint on 1970 GTO

Damn, I haven't done anything in lacquer in a few years, and this one made me realize why I don't miss that shit at all!
This was not a complete restoration, just a re-fin. The guy wanted it freshened up in the original type lacquer paint. Here it is, from repairing a million dents and dings, spot priming, painting, and the ever fun job of color sanding and buffing that crap. Man....guitars are so fucking easy!

    Looks great, Mark.

Sure seems like you're putting that new paint booth to good use. How's it working out for you?

Sweet, man, just awesome. I love looking at Mark porn. Agreed, the booth still looks great - but even better with a car in it than it did empty.

I think you mean post 69 bodies, right? Or do you mean 67? Because 68 and 69 look almost identical.

BTW great job Mark! Nothing sweeter than an A-body!!!

I mean '68 and up, that year they changed from the square-ish body to basically what is painted above, the round-ish body. '65 - '67 are my favorites.

Excellent finish...I don't miss doing car body repairs. prefer sticking to guitars.
What kind of car is it?
