We used to play that song all the time. People love that song. It is not an easy song to sing. As a matter of fact, we had trouble getting any AIC vocals to sound decent.

Jerry's band pulls them off without a hitch. Singing was dead on when I saw them way back when.

My band plays Would along with a bunch of other AIC songs. I sing Jerry's parts, and our singer does Layne's parts. I don't find it that hard, but maybe that's because we do so much AIC, that we're used to the odd vocal harmonies.

Hetfield sounds like shit on that clip.

James has always been shaky at best. That was horrid as one would expect!

Phil did a much better job than James, but even he didn't sing it all that great.

layne was the frosting on the cake . Jerry sings really well too, but I'm one of those purists.

James was trying to sound like James doing an AIC song and not Layne.

I saw AIC 2 times... Well, once because the first time Jerry didn't bother showing up and the second time Layne was in a wheelchair with a broken leg, high off his ass and fucked with the audience more than entertaining them.

I liked quite a few songs from AIC, but I don't get why they are supposed to be so badass. People rag on James and his vocals, but Layne wasn't all that great and probably would have screwed the pooch hard singing a Met cover.
