I can understand that view based on Shake Your Moneymaker (their first record ) & what most people have heard from them on the radio.

I agree with Tommy.....Amorica is their best one....Three Snakes & One Charm is great too.....Lions has some really great moments on it also.

You have to get a little deeper into their catalog...

Wow, a harsh criticism but with merit as Chris and Rich Robinson have repeatedly mentioned in various interviews about how much they both were influenced by 70's rock music. That being said I still love the Crowes! "Sister Luck" always puts the swagger back in my step and the rush in my blood.

People still think their only album out is the first one-lol
Every Album improved as they went, and if you want to sit on the beach with me, twist a real nice joint, and let me be the DJ, you'll spend one beautiful afternoon with some dynamite music written by the blackcrowes. The band is rock and roll in every sense of the word. I will defend them no more, because if you don't have anything but hard to handle to listen to, then you can't debate about them. I've never seen a bad show, wasted or not, and that goes for the band as well. Oddly enough Chris Robinson was the party guy, and his brother is straight as an arrow for his entire life. friction is gonna happen with that kind of situation, but it also produces great songs.
If you listen to 'NonFiction" off of Amorica and can't dig the tune, then I must say you're a communist-lol

I've seen them 5 times and one time they didn't do anything recognizable to me. THey did a tone of old blues covers. Aside from that show, they blew me away everytime. I can't imagine how anyone could trash them, but to each their own. Southern Harmony has to be my favorite album.

I don't care what your opinion is. The Crowes awesome. I don't think they sound like any band. I love the Stones too, but I don't see the comparison other than good writing and musicianship. To me, it's apples and oranges. Yes, they always had the retro thing going as far as image and style, but thats as far as it goes as far as I can see.

I like metal too, but I'm able to appreciate something with a little less distortion as well.

                    To each their own brothers!

                                I'm actually with Shawn here..well I'm a "metal" guy..so..

BUT they are very good song writers and do have a lot of talent and very catchy grooves and you know it's them as soon as you hear it..very original band ..which is important!

I can see how people love them..just like TRHCP.

But I prefer TRHCP because of Flea of course..

Not my cup o' Joe..but I can't say nothing bad about them..if they're on the radio..I don't change the channel..put it that way.
