In the 80's Eddie Murphey Was funny in Beverley Hills Cop, BHC 2 went down hill and the 3rd one was just ridiculous.

Now they are bringing it back with the 4th installment. I wonder if they'll do the same things with this one they did with the previous 3? Stuff like randomly over-dubbing that goofy laugh he does throughout the movie...

Eddie hasn't been funny in years so my money is on this one flopping like the rest of his movies have.

How could a guy that was so cool in the 80s turn into such a lame-o? I remember seeing him on Oprah in the late 80s and he said he would never do TV commercials because it was below his standards or something to that effect. And this is better?

OT trivia: BTW, I was shocked when I saw George Lucas in BHC3. I wonder how on Earth that happened? I remember thinking as I watched that movie, "that looked EXACTLY like George Lucas, but WHY would he be in this lame movie?"

Sure enough I watched the credits and he was mentioned.

Really? Hadn't heard that yet. Soon it's gonna be like the Airplane spoof....wasn't there a poster advertising Rocky 91 or something like that in that movie....been a long time since I've seen it.

The thing with Eddie is the samething with most mega-stars. When they are young and hungry they push it to make more money. When they have fame, money and power they aren't hungry for it anymore... That's my theory anyway.

Rocky on the other hand I can't wait to see. I love the first 5... Yeah, it is kind of lame how every movie ends the same, but I kind of get the feeling this one will be different in the way of closing the door on the Rocky franchise.

I won't spoil it for the rest of the Rocky fans, but I do believe it will be different than the rest in a few ways.
