LOL yeah I know, Denver was the same way. That crap hole pretty much stopped for a donkey's game. Best time to do your shopping Sports are awesome and I watch but as with all things some people take it way too far. I don't get it really. I grew up in LI which is sports heavy but it never seemed like that. For every fanatic there seemed to be 2 disinterested people. Except when the Mets won the WS, suddenly everyone loved baseball,

The NFL will be gone from basic TV. You just wait and see. Or don't see, unless you bump up your cable.

Most cable companies are not showing the games on the NFL network. They have the channel but when the game start they black it out. My bud works at Comcast and told me NFL network wanted a ton of money to broadcast 6 games. It would have worked out to 30 plus buck per game for *every customer* if they could get some local advertising to defer costs. The NFL network has a lousy viewer rating compared to most channels and I see it dying aquick death unless they come down on their prices.

I don't know who your buddy is, but I have comcast digital silver package w/HBO (need my Sopranos) NFL Network comes with it (and also basic digital) the games are NOT blacked out, and also if it's a local team it is on local FREE TV as well. NFL network is also a FREE channel with the Comcast HDTV service as well. I know not every Comcast market has it, but I know here they sent out a survey with people's bills and everyone voted to get it....like 85% of their customers. I watch it more than any other channel. NFL Network Replay is awesome. They cut out all the downtime and add clips of the coaches/players postgame interviews when they're speaking of a particular play. By the way, there was no upcharge when it was added to our basic/premium packages.
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

bullet. Right up my ass. I pay $45/month for bullshit channels and a few good ones. And those will be gone pretty soon, I'll bet ya.

I choose not to have cable or satellite. My wife & I made that decision 13 years ago when we built our house. I don't like most of what is on free TV, much less whats on cable. I can certainly survive without seeing every game played..

                  Let's see...An average of $35/month x 12 months x 13 years = almost $5500.00

Hasn't happened to the MLB or NHL. Even if it does it really doesn't matter.

I actually agree with you. The point is that the stuff we are used to watching on "Regular TV" will be moved to the higher priced cable packages. And that sucks.

i got direct t.v. and a one time fee of $400.00 for the pirate card, you people have no clue what kind of outlandish stuff you're all missing. It's great.

"Regular TV" will no longer exist in a few years being replaced by HDTV does that suck too?

Yes, it does. It's all bullshit. What real difference does it make if you can see a pimple on someones ass? When I said "Regular TV", I was referring to basic or one step up service. However, I like my regular Sony TV. I can't see anyhow, so I don't care.

I know what you were referring to. I was making an improved service analogy. I'm out.

All the pay per vies are free, so are all the regular channels, I get boston channels, new york-YES!!!!, chicago, Detroit Philly,Vegas, it's fukkin' great, and who wants to watch Pittsburgh and cleveland anyway even if it was on Fox or CBS unless you have a parlay or at least a 50 on it? Not me. That's what those games are for, gambling, and being that this is on the NFL network in the end will not hurt the NFL revenues at all in my opinion. The cost of living is a fukkin' joke, but I spare no expense when it comes to munching out, t.v. viewing, or a bender with your friends. Oddly enough, sometimes jeanette and I can't find anything to watch with the 900 plus channels, now that's the sick thing of it all when you think about it.
thats illegal...I used to work in encryption...for another 400 I'll stop the ECM that makes your existing card only pick up Barney :ROTF:
