  • Ebay Shipping Calulator

I'm putting this here. This poor guy got reamed. He charged me $40+ based, I guess, on the Calulator. It cost him $100. I feel for the guy, but he is delivering. Just be careful what you quote for shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0036&rd=1&rd=1 I know, it's another junk guitar. But that's not the point. Damn it.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

Should have shipped it Fed-Ex ground... would have cost $20 and that includes insurance.

Yeah. $100+? That's an easy ship. Just take apart the guitar and ship it in one box. With lots of packing.

Did this guy pay them to pack it or is he FOS? I recently shipped a rhoads with case UPS ground and it was under $50 including insurance for $650.

Here's what got him. This is the second time I was shipped a guitar in a whopper box. BTW, The guitar is a solid body and pretty nice.

He probably userd a UPS store or the like. They double the counter rates. If he had them pack it, and they doubled the rate, you'd be $100 easy.

I once sold an aluminum bike frame with no forks ~3lbs, and couldn't find a box, so went to the ups store cause I was out of time. Cost me $60 if I remember correctly. $20-30 packing and $30 shipping. Priced the same thing at the counter for <$20 after the fact.
