Right, this shows the decadence of American culture today, that a significant portion of the "educated" class hates its own country and supports its enemies. We're becomging what the Roman citizens of Italy were just before the Goths and Vandals kicked down the doors and trashed the place.
This is what's killing our nation, not the extrenal terrorists but the self-loathing intelligentsia who think it's cool to bare your neck for the beheading.
Well said, it's quite true. It's well and good to disagree and voice dissenting opinions but in today's academic world there's far too much blind rage and irrational hatred of everything America is and has been. The overwhelming majority of students aren't anywhere near as radical as their professors but they often go along with some of these loony things because they see it as trendy or edgy. I don't think we're quite in the state of Rome before its fall, at least not yet, because at least a slim majority of these students eventually outgrow the phase where they cling to the rantings of their academic masters.
Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam!

you are correct sir, and now only need to put 2 and 2 together by substituting "illegal alien mexicans" for your goths and vandals, and you'll be a lot closer to understanding that we are in the last days of what we once knew and loved as America.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
Well, when you let radical anti-American pinkos take the top spots in colleges, this is what you get. When you base hiring practice strictly on documented qualifications instead of "what's good for the future of this country", this is what you get.
And when those idiots step out of the states that have anti-gun laws into states that do not have anti-gun laws, you'll see what you get
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
It's just plain ignorance for a lot of people because some of them have no clue about what the leaders in those countries and regimes do to their citizens on a daily basis.
I did. 30+ fukking years ago. I have a BA and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. And I did it for less than $1,000. California State University at Hayward. Class of '72.
Okay Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are plenty of educated people here. But I don't think that it's really fair to say that anti-Americanism runs rampant on most college campuses.
In regards to the first post, you have to remember that CCNY is located in one of the most left-wing districts in the entire country. It's really not that suprisng.
Don't back down know. "Lean to the left. Lean to the right. Stand up. Sit down. But get it right!!!!!!" A venue of "Higher Education" should be just that. There is a fundamental flaw in the Univerisities and Colleges. And that is there are too many "Political Bents" that are covered by "Academic Freedom". Whatever happened to just going to school to learn. I could give a flying fuk what the Prof believes. I just wanted the person to give a "Balanced" presentation.
