I watch TV quite a bit. Probably too much. I watch a lot of Discovery and History Channel. I like Jeopardy. There are a few shows I like to watch too, like Prison Break, House, and Criminal Minds. Oh, and Doctor Who. Doctor Who kicks ass!!!

Same here. Sometimes I'll watch Discovery or A&E or a movie on Sci-Fi or one of the big movie channels if something good is on, but if I only had one channel to watch, it would be Comedy Central.

Never watched Boston Legal. I sometimes watch Law and Order, CSI, CSI Miami and CSI New York, though.

                SUP?
I'll watch stuff on all of the info channels( hist., disc., milt.,,etc)
The ocasional music channel if it has some metal I'm interested in,, a few things on Comedy Central( Southpark, Chappelle show, and stand-up )
Sci-Fi stuff like Doctor Who( which I've been watching since the 70's) and any channel that happens to be airing any of the CSI's. I use the Internet for news, weather, etc. OH,,,and i like the show TORCHWOOD.

Ask me about particular battles of WWII, punch lines to comedians jokes, how to determine time of death from the age of maggots,,,no problem,,,,but ask me about some BS sitcom show on prime time.....like the guys at work do..... I'll have that " I just got a new guitar and I'm taking my first lesson" look..

TV for games and DVDs, telephone for internet (backup when the cable goes out).

I watch the Weather Channel long enough to see how I should be dressed when I egt off work at 6AM the next day, or if any weather systems are moving in. If I hear the EBS going off, I'll watch to see where the tornadoes are headed since I'm in the area, etc etc.

I do not watch network programming. I used to watch Comedy Central when it was a continuous stream of clips from comedians or skits from comedy shows, but once it went to a typical network program schedule (The <whoever> Show followed by The <whoever else> Show, etc).

SciFi used to be great till they started killing good movies like Stargate with cheap soap opera "Action Dramas", and dredging up classic TV shows to remake them even worse than they originally were (Battletards Galacticrap).

And whoever told them they make movies that are so good they should make more is an idiot. I almost burned my TV when they had the one about the Special Forces vs the Terrorists on Fake Dinosaur island.

They show crap upon crap IMO.

I don't mind the Discovery channel stuff, but I really do not care to have the porn-style shots of sea lions f'ing on the beach. Really, I don't. I know they reproduce, it's not necessary to show me the reproductive organs of any animal (or human) in action to know where babies come from.

Does Discovery Health ever show anything besides the various diseases and their varied levels of progress?

I might watch Made In America if it's something I have a particular interest in (the Gibson and Fender episodes).
Cash Cab is ok, though they're starting to flood reruns every other week.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Yeah, they showed the one about transsexuals and had Annah playing her Rhoads.

I resent TV. 90% of what comes out of that apparatus is either a lie, staged, phony, stupid, poorly researched, exaggerated, overplayed and normally includes a lot of idiotic people spreading their so called knowledge and wisdom.

                          Why is that?

I admit that I stopped watching TV on a regular basis since a couple of years, the news was depressing and the shows were a bunch of hot air not even worth watching. Only discovery channel and shows like "Junkyard wars" and "Mythbusters" I tend to follow. Ever since then people tend to ask me under what rock I have been living as topics about famous people come up and I have no idea who they are talking about..

So to start off this "You-Know-That-You-Don't-Watch-TV-Enough-To-Know-About" topic, I'll gladly recall when I first learned about Paris Hilton. As you might recall, she and her then boyfriend recorded a wild night and released it on video and all kinds of spam mail began to spread with titles like "SEE THE PARIS HILTON SEX TAPE FOR $***"

And my "You-Know-That-You-Don't-Watch-TV-Enough-To-Know-About" moment was when I thought to myself:

"What do I care about a sex tape filmed at the Hilton hotel in Paris france?"
I had absolutely NO IDEA that "Paris Hilton" was a person.
I watch only The Simpsons and some here and there MTv Masters or Live...
                            But that is that...
I don`t even watch the Simpsons every day...
I watch TV maybe for 3-4hours in a MONTH!
                            TV is boring!

I rather play guitar or am at my pc talking with people
or just simply read a good book...
