    I use my tone and volume knobs all the time. I wouldn't be without either.

        I only use the tone knob when I'm recording and want to change my sound a bit. I could definitely live without it though.

          I think they're pretty useless for hard rock/metal. I always have the tone knob on my model 6 all the way up. Plus, I had 2 wolfgang specials for 2 1/2 years and never missed the tone knob. But I do have a Strat now and definitely use the tone knob for the bridge pup to cut down the high-end shrill.

            Yes.It would be good to connect two tone knobs to one bridge pickup and put a switch to switch between the two tone knobs,so you could get the neck pickup sound with the bridge pickup,and have your picking way empty by having only the bridge pickup)this could be done right?
