      Anyhoo, given the rounded shape of the tuner backs, both reflections would be accurate if he has the guitar turned so the flash doesn't wash out the serial number....or his "flash"

      Another point about taking good pics - if your camera has a Macro setting (usually indicated by a small flower), use that for close-up shots - logos, dings, etc.

      Also, if your camera can accept add-on lenses, try to pick up some close-up/magnifying lenses, especially if you tend to favor guitars that have a few dents and dings. They're also great for insurance photos (jewelry, etc).

                              Sony H5...I've bought a new Sony digital every year for the last 5 years and not had one single problem with any of them.
