I had a bit of time to waste in Vegas the other day on business, so I stopped in to the Hard Rock Casino to see what might be newly on display.
they now have guitars in wall display windows along where the gift shop is, including several noted and excellent Ed Roman models, with nice little plaques telling about how great Ed Roman guitars are. I almost shit. they are pretty damn ugly. these were not there last time I was at the HRC.
other guitars of note in that wall display were the JFrog Lynch skull and bones, very cool, and the silly looking Jackson Zoraxe green thing that we had pics of here a while back. they also had a 25th Anniversary RR1. pretty cool. all these were courtesy of the troll apparently.
the other stuff was kinda lame, mostly either the same cheap guitars autographed by bands that never played them, but there was an interesting Alembic superstrat autographed by the original Jane's Addiction lineup from like 1990 which was pretty cool. appeared to be a neck through and the HSS pickups were covered and had the Alembic logo on them. never seen another like that. I expected it to be from one of the Jane's reunion iterations but when I saw the autograph EA on it, that was pretty cool. Eric Avery was their original bassist, 1/2 of their songwriting duo w/ Perry.
and no I had no camera handy as this was a spur of the moment thing, so anyone with the worthless-w-o-pics icon can fuck off ahead of time.
