Even worse than clothes is cars. You would think a big car or SUV would do the trick.......survey says.......buuuuuuzzzzz WRONG!!!!! Not enough leg room or the dashboard goes too low so you gotta straddle the steering wheel. The only cars I've ever been comfortable in were my Vette and most F-Bodies which seem to be geared around the driver....long legwells....but they get expensive in price, insurance and gas. I love em, but cripes, they make me poor....lol
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

Yup, too many cars nowadays have that stupid center console thing...here's my current ride

Great car, lots of room all around but they don't make 'em anymore, and the car I'm looking at to replace it ('98-'03 Ford Crown Vic) is smaller all around.

At 5'11", I never thought of myself as being tall.

However, I moved to Japan a few years ago, and I am usually the tallest person in the room here.

When I got married and bought new furniture, I had to buy an extra long bed and an extra tall couch, which of course cost me "extra"

Here's the tall guy killer of them all. This was years ago, but I had a chance of buying a 65 XKE Jag for 5 grand. Went to see it. Got it. And I couldn't move.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

Ha. Ha. When I was a kid, I got a ride in the real deal Cobra. It was 1st year. '64? I was a passenger in the deck (no back seat) of a '66 350 Shelby. I have been a passenger in a '69 Z28 at 120 MPH. Now, I drive an old Areostar.

I'm 6' 2", 220 lbs. and I squeeze my ass into my 97 Eclipse every morning.
It was a great car when I bought it and I was 40+ pounds lighter... not so much fun anymore. :ROTF:

My wife's Highlander is ok until I have to use the sun visor. I'm all torso, so when the sun visor is down, I can't see the road.
My wife is 5' 3" and we have the same length legs.

I would have loved to have had a '60's Camaro or a '70's Challenger. Couldn't fit. '60's Mustangs fit me fine. I had 4 or 5 of them. I guess I will stay tall.

Reminds of the time I finally got to take a spin in a Triumph TR7. I'd love the look of them since I was a kid, but my first chance to drive one was hilarious. My knees jammed around the steering wheel so I couldn't move. Couldn't reach the ignition key past my leg. My leg was also in the way of the door handle & the window winder, the window was up so I couldn't reach the outside door handle either. I had to be let out. Didn't even get to take it for a drive.

I don't think they're designed with guys 6'4 in mind.

Fett, are you talking about the Mustang..or the itty bitty Shelby 427 Cobra..

Mine is a very nice replica of course..the real deals go for 500K..not many of those around..just saw one on the auction on TV the other day..went well over 500K and that's including tax and auction fees..and it wasn't mint nor COMPLETELY original..

It's small..weighs just over 2100 lbs...a litle less room than those Austin Healys..

Being tall does suck. Im an average hight now but as a child i was way taller than the other kids.
At my school there where 2 playgrounds, one for the little kids and one for the older kids. I was so much taller than the other little kids the staff didnt belive that i was ment to be on that playground, so they sent me over to the other kids, where i had no friends and got teased and beaten up all the time.
Ever since then i've hated being tall!
If a fat girl falls in the forest, and no one is there to see it, do the trees still laugh??

Being tall has its ups and downs (ba-dump) - we can stoop down, but short people will always be short BWAHAHAHAHAHHA

                            6'3" 200 Lbs here

But I can squat down into a 2' high ball. Can't do much when I'm down there, but it's good for staying limber - never know when one of those midget-made buildings will collapse on you and you HAVE to be able to fit in a 2'x3' space to survive

CEILING FANS! Curse the things! A man cannot stretch in his own home standing up without busting a knuckle!

And here's a handy tip about clothes that shrink - get them one size larger and let them shrink

Works for me (though my favorite Hawaiian shirt hasn't shrunk an inch in the 10 years I've owned it - my previous favorite shrunk in less than a year - I guess they changed the formula for Rayon like they did Coke - I got Gnu Rayon or some crap that shrinks )

Ok, sing along if you know the words!

                            Short people got
                            no reason
                            Short people got
                            no reason
                            Short people got
                            no reason to live

That's a Roadmaster isn't it Ron.....those were big! I drive Crown Vics for work often, and I can say honestly that they are much smaller. They also have the typical Ford issue that the dashboard comes down too low and hits the upper shin of your leg. Sucks!!!!!

The only problem I have is I can never find anything in my size in the big and tall men's shop... I'm a 5'5" midget.
