This is seriously the best thing I read all year.

In all fairness, in don't think SouthPlatteDemon meant every cop is like that. Maybe a carefully chosen word would avoid this. No way you could possible mean every cop is like that. On the contrary, the majority of the cops I have met and delt with are nothing like that. Sure, there are some bad apples out there, but that happens in all professions. And contrary to popular belief, the police really do regulate thier own. A bad apple doesn't just make that person look bad, that makes thier whole department look bad.

I can understand Bill's frustration. Cops often do a thankless job, risking thier lives ever minute of every day, never knowing if someone they pulled over is an escaped con with nothing to loose and a 357 in his lap just waiting for you to come to the window to let him know he has a break light out. To insult someone who's profession is to help people really is really in poor taste.

Like I said, sure there are some bad apples out there, but the vast majority are doing the job to help people and make thier neck of the woods just a little bit safer.

Well, being my closest friend, I know him very well. He was quite an impressive cop. Held the top felony arrest record every month in his district for a large percentage of the time he was there. Like 8 years in that district I believe before he went on to a supposedly safer district.

He's a pretty awesome dude actually. A guy I'd trust my life and my family's life with as well, without question. I truly trust his judgement when it comes to others safety and being able to make a call on something.

Personally, I know he's one savvy, and capable motherfucker, and even though I'm a pretty savvy dude, I come to him for advice on a lot of shit. I know that sounds weird considering some whacky over-reactive posts he makes here and there. But Bull is seriously one awesome guy that when it comes to other peoples issues (maybe not his own) can make solid and very astute observations and decisions...

He's a guy you can trust to be there when all hands are down. No questions... If Bill had my back, no matter where, I'd feel pretty damn safe...
